I call this quilt "Wildlife Collage". I used the book "A Forest of
Quilts" to get my idea for the quilt. Each picture was pieced, appliqued
and quilted separately, then connected to make the completed quilt of 73" X
82".  I used two different corresponding materials to back the pictures,
which makes a large nine patch on the back.  I used black mottled sashes
to bring out each picture. It was a real challenge for me. Since I only
have a regular sewing machine, it was easier for me to do all the pictures
separately and then connect them, working with a smaller piece of
work. For the outdoor folks, this would make a great quilt for a cabin or
home in the country.
