Wyoming Picnic Quilt by Viola Rae Kassing of Blaine, Minnesota

Viola Rae says this quilt looks nothing like her original design--it was made completely out of step.

Viola Rae choose to enter the contest because it was in Wyoming. She learned to piece from an original settler and was born in Worland which is not even an hour from the store.

It is hand quilted with a 2 inch sawatooth border and 5 inch white border.

The quilt has four pieced blocks and 5 appliqued blocks.
