of the most beautiful creations, like a baker or master chef. Taking a little of this and a little of that and voile' you have a quilt. I had my first experience with quilting 27 years ago.......
my mother thought that I needed to learn another skill. I am so glad that she did. Since that time I have taken many classes to hone my skill. I have also decided to share my passion and
began giving classes for beginners. That gives me an extreme amount of pleasure to know that others are absorbing my pass-ion. I became seriously interested in Quilting making about 10
years ago. The idea of sitting and putting a quilt together is quite therapeutic. I am a single mother of three grown children and they, of course, just indulge my excessive need for fabric.
Some folks are addicted to chocolate or coffee, my weakness
is fabric. My fabric collection has threatened to overtake my
studio, so the way to be able to stay in my chair without having
to use a whip and a chair to control the fabric is to create and
construct these beauties. Each quilt takes on a life of its own
whether it be a lap quilt or a bed sized quilt, pieced or appliqued. Nothing is more comforting that rolling up in a quilt to sleep
with or lay on the floor watching TV. Quilts just by there name
alone signify comfort.
