Artists StatementBUFFALO DANCE As the large herds of buffalo (bison) declined, the natives performed special dances to the gods to replenish this important source of food and shelter. I placed the buffalo dancer in the center and chose colors to represent the four seasons. The black Silhouettes represent the shadows of those now gone. |
