A classic kaleidoscope quilt, with a mind boggling number of pieces. |
| Svanhild chose some wonderful fabrics for the light-play in the center of her kaleidoscope. | ![]() |

Her points are sharp and pointed. This is another of the quilts that made me wish we had agreed to give more prizes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this quilt. | ![]() |
Artists StatementKaleidoscope No 4 I decided to make a kaleidoscope quilt, because they are such fun to make, and I like the element of surprise as to how the result will be when all the wedges come together. I drew a full-size pattern of one 45 degree wedge, and made templates to cut all the pieces. This is the method described in the book "Kaleidoscopes and Quilts" by Paula Nadelstern. It is machine pieced and quilted. I have made three kaleidoscope quilts before, hence the name. |
